Ethnobotanical Immersions

For those who wish to work with entheogenic plant medicines in a safe, traditional, and immersive context,  my dear friend Jonathon Miller Weisberger and I offer retreats  at the Ocean Forest Ecolodge located in the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica.

We also travel to Ecuador and work directly with the Mamallacta family of the Kichwa Community. They steward the land of Napo Galeras, a place held in spiritual regard by three different ethnic groups. Tours are organized and led with community land guardians to help gather funds and increase awareness of this sacred and precious natural resource.

Additionally, we have also guided visits to Don Cesareo Piaguaje, the oldest living elder and healer of the Secoya nation.

Costa Rica Retreat: April 25 - May 2, 2022 *with option to add 4 nights through May 6th*

Ecuador Adventure: August 2022

Jonathon is the author of Rainforest Medicine: Preserving Indigenous Science and Biodiversity in the Upper Amazon and the steward of the Ocean Forest Ecolodge. His work as an ethnobotanist, cultural advocate and activist, and environmentalist is expansive and his accumulated knowledge of traditional plant medicines spans over 30 years.

Private events and excursions can be organized upon request, contact me directly for more details.

Please note that the funds gathered for these experiences do not solely support personal economic interest. Rather, a portion goes towards supporting a local farmland restoration project as well as providing resources to different ethnic communities in Ecuador
